This online literary magazine exists for two purposes:

 

First, we publish literary works which other venues may deem "too quiet." By this we mean subtle, introspective, philosophical, perhaps minimalist - hundreds of interpretations arise.

 

Second, we reject the notion that "literary" equals "realist," and "genre fiction" equals "not literary." For that reason, our major fiction focus is on non-realism. More detail on that at our submission guidelines.

 

For poetry and essays, "non-realism" is less important - if you plan on submitting in those categories, the main factor is "quietude." Again, more detail on our submissions page.
